Can you imagine standing on the side of a river trying to hold on to a huge log that is meant to head downstream??? You’d likely become exhausted. Your arms might become weary. Perhaps your fingers may even bleed from holding on.
Excruciating visualization right?? Ruminating (repetitively going over) unhealthy thoughts & uncomfortable/unsafe emotions is exhausting, like holding onto a log that is meant to continue downstream. Not only is it exhausting for the holder, but it also traps everything behind it (other thoughts, emotions, or opportunities), waiting to be experienced, fully.
You may practice Mindfulness by noticing & observing your thoughts and emotions, like a third-party observer. As you observe and become aware of your thoughts/feelings, you may also practice to not judge your thoughts/feelings. It is your true experience whether you decide to acknowledge it or not, whether you put the weight of judgement on it, or not. You may practice self-love by accepting your experiences. Lessons in these experiences may come naturally, in time.🌱
Remember Awareness & Acceptance.💛

Mindfulness is beneficial in helping with memory, focus, stress-management, & relationships. Practicing to have a present state-of-mind can help reduce anxiety, depression, & post-trauma symptoms.
For increased awareness, you may ask yourself “How might practicing Mindfulness help with my current stress?”
The more you practice Mindfulness and Being Grounded, the more you’re be likely to respond to your experiences from your core. 🔅
