Primary Therapist

You do not have to know exactly where life is leading to take your next step. Your strengths can help you find your way, even through seasons that feel uncertain.

Life transitions can bring unfamiliar emotions, difficult decisions, and questions about what comes next. Therapy offers an opportunity to explore those feelings, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with greater self compassion and confidence.

Meet McKenzie

Outside of the therapy room, McKenzie enjoys attending live sporting events, trying stadium foods, and taking weekend adventures where the itinerary unfolds along the way. She also values time with family and a slow Sunday devoted to self care, rest, and resetting for the week ahead.

McKenzie believes that each person’s strengths are unique tools for navigating change. She appreciates the moments when something begins to click for a client, allowing their confidence and belief in themselves to grow. It is meaningful to her to walk beside clients as they make new discoveries about themselves and recognize their capacity to move through uncertainty.

McKenzie's Approach to Therapy

McKenzie works collaboratively with adults navigating seasons of transition. Whether someone is defining their direction in young adulthood, facing challenges in a long term relationship, or considering what life might look like approaching retirement, she offers space to explore fears, clarify what matters, and consider new possibilities.

She is especially passionate about supporting clients who feel stuck, struggle to make decisions, or experience emotional responses that feel unfamiliar. Her approach emphasizes recognizing strengths, exploring inner self talk, and developing a more compassionate relationship with oneself. She hopes clients leave therapy with emotional tools and greater confidence in their ability to handle life’s experiences.

Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, strengths based practice, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy, McKenzie tailors her work to each client’s needs and goals. Through reflection, practical exercises, and opportunities to practice between sessions, she helps clients translate insight into meaningful change.

Even when your next step feels uncertain, your strengths remain with you. Therapy can help you recognize them, build upon them, and move toward a life that feels more connected to who you are.
