TRAUMA
when left untreated, can feel like living life in a constant state of uneasiness.
During a traumatic experience, a person’s brain might help them to bear this threatening event by going into survival-mode. It can be a challenge to return to a sense of calm and safety after experiencing trauma. Survival-mode may continue to be a way of life for an individual who has not had an opportunity to process their traumatic experience and understand its impact. This lack of understanding can lead to reoccurring triggering experiences, with a person feeling lost with how to cope. Sadly, these instances often retraumatizes an individual. If you are enduring exhaustion from this unyielding cycle, we want you to know a healthier way of life is possible for you.
