Honor the LARGE experiences
You can’t heal what you don’t reveal (to yourself). Some of your deepest emotional wounds may by oozing into other areas of your life, mind, heart, and spirit. By denying the magnitude of your painful life experiences you may have (metaphorically speaking) spent years of your life applying a bandaid 🩹 to a surgical wound. Could you imagine the literal consequence of this??
As terrifying as it may be to come to terms with past painful experiences, the reward may be in the lessons & what you learn about yourself from awareness. You might learn that you can actually handle more than you thought you could by examining what you’ve made it through. You may find that your core-self 🔅 (who you truly are) is stronger than how you currently view yourself when you look in the mirror. You can choose to remind yourself you are worthy of the growing-pains 🌱necessary in finding who you are at your core. 🔅
For increased awareness you may ask yourself, “How was my Defense Mechanism of Minimization created? Why did I need this before? Does this Defense Mechanism continue to serve me or does it create emotional/mental/spiritual harm?”
Can you relate?
